IMO that should be a red card as well as penalty. Reckless endangerment of another player. The fact that you're a goalie doesn't exempt you from needing to play under control.

Yeah so if the incompetence continues we may as well get rid of VAR and stop ruining the actual good parts of football by making us wait 3 minutes to know if a goal stands.

I called it on here before VAR came in with folks claiming the referees need help. The bar for being a referee must be incredibly low.

Well it's clear they need help when they're so awful not even infinite slow motion replays is enough. Whether they deserve their jobs is another issue.

I don't understand why they don't say that it's up to refs to look at the video monitor, and if they can't decide after 10 seconds, then it's not a "clear and obvious mistake".

It would enable mistakes to be overturned, allow refs to maintain control over the match, and ensure fans aren't kept waiting in the dark for minutes on end.

It’s so stupid, supposedly they want to minimise disruption but in the amount of time it took for the VAR guys to look at it the match day ref could have watched it 7 times over.

Bruno Fernandes - Y***ted seem to have finally got one right and more importantly gotten some momentum. Hopefully someone can put a halt to it quickly.

Well the Chelsea result was good for them but apart from that I'm not so sure. Beating Watford at home is no big deal and they drew with Wolves and lost to Burnley in the 2 games before that. Their forms worse than ours and they're about to hit a run of tough fixtures. Hopefully they stop getting so many VAR decisions too.
