We've been closer than in previous recent seasons this year than others. I guess I'll be around to see how we do next year whether or not Wenger's in charge and we're relying on new-found maturity.

League will be alot more difficult next season in my opinion. Have to expect City to be right there challenging, a stronger Chelsea and maybe Liverpool providing a sterner test.

I don't think it will be particularly harder, not in terms of the points total anyway. You would imagine getting into the top 4 however, will be tougher than ever.

I'm not sure about the Top 4 being harder to attain. The big issue is Chelsea and United returning to their levels of previous years, and getting ₈₅ points over the campaign. If that happens, then we need to find a way to turn 4 losses into victories next season to stay competitive. I see Chelsea especially being better if they can retain their best players and bring in a Nilmar and/or Sneijder

The question I ask is this: if Wenger cannot win in a season when all the top teams are rather rubbish, when will he ever win? United look like a team in transition, Chelsea seem a team with a hangover; and Liverpool, Spurs and Citeh are not that good. We'll never receive an invitiation like this again

Everyone said the same thing last summer too and was wrong.

If City and Chelsea have any interest in meeting the FFP requirements in 2 seasons time, they won't be spending big this summer.

What more can City do? Unless they change manager I'm not worried about them. Chelsea will be about as strong as this year, still plenty of players ageing in that team and I could see some high profile exits this summer. Liverpool are nothing, its another false dawn for them. They wont even get into the CL next year.

a lot of new players are adapting to a new team and a new country and they have improved throughout the season. they are getting better month by month.

add a few world class players this summer and they'll be my favorites to win the premiership next season.

I think the league will be a mixed bag next year relative to this year. United and Chelsea will both need to spend to stand still, whether they really will seems up in the air to me.

As for City, Mancini has been very conservative in his approach to this point and he's achieved a certain degree of success. Looks likely they'll win the FA Cup and make the top four - certainly the latter at least.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they added two or more top attacking players in summer with the promise of CL football and unlimited wealth to hang out. The only question is whether Mancini will pull out more aggressive tactics.

Some talk about the FFP rules restraining them but we also have to wait and see on that.

One thing I do agree with is that Liverpool probably won't be top four material.

Regardless of all potential summer buys, I'd be interested in observing how much impact players like Mceachran, Sturridge and Ramires make for Chelsea next year and Smalling, Welbeck and Cleverley make for Manchester United.

Chelsea have addressed their weaknesses, to some extent, with the recent big buys. But, Manchester United have some big calls to make with VDS retiring and Giggs and Scholes aging by a year.
