That would not happen.

Right now if Saliba was up for sale, he would easily get a bigger move than Marseille.

We need to understand that the lad is good enough for us and we should be trying to assimilate him into the squad.

Gabriel, White and Saliba would give us a back three which would make most clubs green with envy.

We need to make the most of what we have.

A great player on loan aspires to return to our club and join the first team, but isn't being outrageous with his demands.

The fact that there hasn't been much reaction the story I think demonstrates it's a bit of a non-story. If Saliba comes back to us, there is no logic to keeping him in the u-23s.

The comments themselves are generally very positive, because it seems very possible to find him a role here more or less in line with his expectations.

Yeah, it's really encouraging that we have this kind of quality under contract and yet to join up with a team that's doing well. If we didn't already have him on the books he'd be a great signing.

Hope it works out on all fronts.

There's been enough nonsense landfill to fill up the Vredefort astrobleme. There really has been a cosmic shit-ton of it on the forum, as a cursory use of the search function will remind you.

If I find it amusing that empirical reality continues to suggest the sky isn't falling in, that's called having a normal response. I would need to post about ten solid pages of sarcastic digs about it to adjust in full.

Commiserations Burnsy, i’m sure you’re not too thrilled to be compared to a troll like me, but if my awful username is synonymous with someone sarcastically pointing out some of the at best needless bed wetting and at worst toxic (ironic, huh?) and short sighted negativity that gets thrown around on here then i see that as not only validation, but also a bit of a compliment.

Next time you see someone use language or insults that makes you cringe, or you see someone so far off the edge that they’re using logic that’s not even really based on reality anymore, ask yourself whether or not you’re more likely to be grouped with them, or with a mug like me.
