Germany did seem a bit out of it - like Arsenal served up for Villa. And they haven't had a convincing result for a while including drawing the Mesut Ozil derby. Löw does seem stale but they have issues with defensive quality and depth that their midfielders and attackers cannot mask.

Claudius is right about Germany’s defence. Last night they looked like they could recall Mustafi, that how bad thing were 😆

One thing I have noticed over the last couple of years, is that the likes of Boateng, Tah, Sule etc really lack agility. Can easily be turned, if they react late to a runner, then it’s over.

But those moments when you need to be sharp with your movement, where your touch around the corner has to be nifty, where the supporting striker layoff has to be perfect, those moments are critical, and that’s exactly where we lack quality and consistency.

Today's Norway match will be very interesting. For those who don't know about the situation:

Norway lost 3-0 to Romania on walkover because the entire squad of 25 players plus manager were quarantined. The quarantine is still not over, so we've assembled an emergency squad that's facing Austria today. None of the players from the Norwegian league can be part of it either because they'd then have to be quarantined when they get home. It's mostly players in lesser leagues abroad, many of them sitting on the bench. The side will be captained by Mats Møller Dæhli who hasn't played since September and has been left out of the matchday squad for Genk since October 3rd while the U21 manager is stepping in on the sideline. Because of the Romania result we need a win to have a chance to qualify through the Nations League.

Anything other than an Austria win would be a miracle. The 30 first named on the team sheet probably aren't in the squad.

Make a chance bet on Norway instead Clrnc. The odds must be sky high, no one expects anything from them and they have absolutely everything to play for. Players who only have things to gain going into a fixture are always worth a punt, and there are surer things than Austria out there if you want to eliminate risk from your bets. I reckon even Norway's third string can't be miles away from Austria if you disregard David Alaba.

Looks like Clrnc should've taken your bet, was 8/1. Unfortunately Norway needed to win with two goals to top the group, so it doesn't really matter, but it's a great experience for the third string to play their first match for the national team and win of course.
