Not a coincidence that he did that when Ronaldo wasn't playing. Juve should never have bought Ronnie.

You know how I feel about that acquisition. They’ve focused all player trading around how to win with Cristiano now. It’s the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen. A sharp right turn from what was happening before. And they’re still not good enough to face the top two in England. Maybe old Lady Luck will smile on them

Bizarre is the best word to describe it, Ronaldo is probably the reason they let Kean go as well. They're sacrificing their future for a (in my opinion slim) chance at glory now, and they're betting it all on a player who's already started to slow down. Three Serie A players scored more than him last season, and that's not good enough for a player who has gotten rid of all his other areas of usefulness to maximize his goal threat.

Very impressive display by the 16 year old Angolan midfielder Camavinga against PSG for Rennes.

He has bossed the much more vaunted PSG players.

Looks an unreal talent, only saw highlights but to play like that at 16 against PSG :gape:

What a glorious pass for the second. Folks who watched the game are all raving about his maturity in midfield. Raul should keep one eye on him, the other on our Bundedliga kids.

Quincy, how good is Erling Håland? I keep seing him linked to a lot of big clubs.

Big strong lad for his age, any age really. Quick, decent eye for a pass and a great holder-upper. Consistently gets into good positions and finishes well. Technically good, but not fantastic. Kind of like Giroud in some ways, but more mobile. Also reminds me of Carew, but better technically. He has a bit of that weird explosiveness of someone so big. I think he could do well as a target man for any team just below the top echelon. I hope he is even better than that, of course, being Norwegian.

I have to say, his start to the season in Austria is extremely promising. I don't know much about the level of that league, but it's surely a few steps up from the terrible Norwegian league, and he's racking up the goals (9 in 5 games) and assists having just arrived and at only just turned 19. Will be fun to follow as a Norwegian.

Just saw it. Very mature performance for someone 16 years old. Reminds me of Reece Oxford

The fuck is this?

😆

😆 It's like a parody of everything that is shit about modern r&b, except he really means it.

The Bury story is devastating. Saw the story of the old man who goes to the ground everyday to see that it still exists. Heartbreaking stuff

Some goal by Vela. Zlatan gets all the attention because what's he's doing is very impressive given his age and, well, he's Zlatan, but Vela is having a by far better season.

That's a fantastic goal but what the fuck is that commentary!

he was a supreme talent, shame about the party mentality

Hes one that our scout nailed it. Superb technical talent

Some 20+ goals and 15+ assists this season

In the MLS. He'd be toast in the prem.

Look at Almiron.

What league he's in isn't very relevant when discussing him in comparison to other MLS players, is it?

Almiron has done a good job for Newcastle anyway. Ask any Geordie and they will be pleased with him. Asked to do a job out of position

Vela certainly has the skill to succeed in the Premier League, La Liga, etc., he just doesn't have the drive to train/live football at the highest level. Personally, I think it's fine he recognized that and went to a league that aligns with that. He looks happy and gets to make good money playing a sport he obviously loves, but doesn't view as his sole interest.

Vela did pretty well at Sociedad too, he just never really had the appetite for football - he's said it himself it was just a way to make a livelihood which is fair enough.

Stoke are rock bottom of the Championship after 5 rounds. They should all quit and join the UFC

More fireworks in El Trafico.

Which is interesting, because every time I have seen them, its been a lot of running, diving, flopping and whining without much end product (0 goals, 0 assists in 12+ games).

Was reading about it. Pretty sad story. Bolton will follow

Watching Ajax and Ziyech is just phenomenal with his deliveries.

Bolton's sale went through today, so they're fine for now.

VAR just disallowed a perfectly good Ajax goal because a defender on the far end have a toe offside even though he is totally not interfering with play.

How can a defender be offside?

As in Ajax's CB who went up for the freekick.

Every premier league team could contribute a week of Mesut’s wages towards rescuing Bury. And that would be that. Then the FA could impose some governance rules on them the way a reserve bank does when commercial banks are under administration.

One hell of a stretch to connect Bury to Ozil!  😆
I think this is what needs looking at

The lone Indian footballer who I think tried out for an english club for half a season -bhaichung bhutia...for FC Bury.
