Fekir isn't a #10 and his end product is one of his biggest strengths, comparisons to Özil are way off. Also in terms of aspirations to win the league - Fekir was all but a Liverpool player last summer and they finished with 97 points
My only concern would be his knee otherwise we'd be idiots to pass on him especially if the fee is as low as its reported to be. He has surprising strength, great shot and intelligence on him and links well with Lacazette, just entering his prime too. Go for it
Shaquiri and Divock Origi are Liverpool players, so I don't agree with that logic.
Fekir plays centrally and in a line deeper than the striker. Number 10, second strirker, it doesn't matter. His end product is fine, but I wouldn't want him central to our attack because I think he lacks in other areas of his game. Certainly relative to peak Özil. He's a good player no doubt, but not great. And I'd be wary of the knee issue and his lack of athleticism if he came to the Premier League.
I didn't mention the aspirations part out of the blue it was a response to your earlier post.
Fekir played CF pretty often, by himself or in a 442. Point being hes versatile, if you want to play a 433 with no attacking midfielders and with Auba and Laca at the club sure he doesn't really fit but I dont think we'll be playing that way any time soon it doesn't fit the squad at all as it is. In a 4231 hed be a great match, unlike Özil or other classic 10s he does have good work rate on him and he's pretty direct. Decent free kicks too
I wish listed him in 2015 I think, generally speaking he seems to have coped pretty well with the injured knee didn't miss too many games and his upper body strength does mitigate the lesser explosiveness. I dont see many better players linked right now and with the pocket change budget we have we should get him while we can
