He should be starting while Trossard is out and until Odegaard learns how to tie both sides of the pitch together. He'll also help with the defensive side of things. All in all he's the best option to start on the left with our current situation.
I think he tends to play better when he's for Calafiori at LB (rather than LCB). Then again, so does Trossard. But i do think he should start until Trossard returns (and then it would be game dependent, and Noni can even play there in a pinch)

JazzG these isolated examples don’t show or prove anything. No absolving his poor movement in the clip shown but Gyokeres made that Martinelli run in the last game only for the ball to be cut back.
There just doesn’t seem to be an understanding of each other when we get to the penalty area.

Yeah that's the exact sort of run I expect from a striker. A run that demands the pass. What you do with it after is another issue entirely. Gyokeres really does not make these sort of runs nearly often enough. When you watch a Haaland that's basically all he does when he's in or around the box - attacks the space aggressively. Gyokeres always seems to be on his heels - a step or two behind the play or run he should be making. Don't see him improving at this stage in his career.
