I know Vela didn't pan out, but he was looking ace as he came through the youth teams and dismantled Burnley/Sheffield.

I think they may be meaning young players we've bought (Fabregas) rather than coming through the academy (Wilshere).

Vela turned out to be ace anyway. At one point in La Liga he was one of the best players there. Now comfortably the best player ever to have played in MLS too

Vela was a super talent, just lazy and a shit mentality. Still think we should have given him more chances though.

No way. Even Mexico was done with him after a brief time. He was never interested in making it to the very top level of competitive football. Playing his prime years in the MLS. Joker.

A sign of Martinelli’s fantastic mentality was his going to pick up the ball and restart after scoring the equalizer. As an 18 year old scoring his first ever PL goal, he would have been forgiven for celebrating wildly but was more interested in winning the game. His maturity is as impressive as his football talent.

As for Martinelli I suspect he may well convert to CF based upon his Europa performances in the role, not only because of his goals and ability in the air, but also his work rate out of possession to press the opposition backline.

Might have Anzac, can’t recall. He was playing RW in the carling cup before his injury. So some promise there for him to help us. Same with Martinelli who did ok against Frankfurt on the right. For as long as Lacazette and Aubamayeng are available, I think we should utilize his pace and skill attributes in alternative positions.

I've actually enjoyed watching him go celebrate with whoever provided the assist. Nice to see a striker recognize the team mate who created the chance. Seems to get along well with the squad.

Think most of our strikers do that to be honest. Auba, Laca, actually whoever scores for us does celebrate with the player who made the assist and anyone else nearby.

We were extremely excited about Walcott, until we weren't.

I think its the best break through into the first team since Fabregas, maybe even better TBH.
