Pepe LeFrits I think Martinelli beats players earlier than Saka does. He's gone past them already, then gets caught up and checks back when/if he runs out of room. Saka takes his man on a bit deeper, but then drives into and across the top of the box, while Martinelli loves to run at defenders right on the byline after they've just made a recovery run. I don't actually like the idea of them both doing the same thing - I like that they are different. Gabby just hasn't executed very well this season. Thankfully, we know that he can, and that he's young, and that all the possibility is there.
Could be good if he gets more games on the right. Simplifies his game and gives him a chance to get back in the groove. Kai also is naturally inclined to position himself for service from the right, which would give Marti the chance to wrap his strong foot around the ball every now and again. Somehow I wonder if we'll ever see him there again, though.
