Anyway Martinelli is a top player. He was giving us end product that matches the best in the league in his position last season. For me he's very underrated generally and his all round game is top notch too. I like that he takes people on and goes for a bit more directness in his play. If you've too many looking for the pass first you can become a bit blunt. The balance between Saka, Ode and Martinelli is the best thing about this team for me.

He's a great 'two-way' player: able to undermine opposition defences whilst compensating for Zinchenko's runs infield by fantastic pressing (the best in our team?).

Yes, his decision-making needs to improve to become elite (and that is my big watch-out for him as it doesn't seem to be progressing) but most teams in this league would kill for a talent like him.

I'm this kid's biggest fan.

The only things I'd like to see from him this season are problem-solving and leadership. With changes on the left, Martinelli becomes our most reliable and positive player going forward on that side. He should proactively adjust whether it's Havertz, Trossard, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Jesus he's playing with.

has the highest ceiling out of everyone in the team. He's well away from reaching it at the moment, but once he starts using more of his technique than his pace as a solution and sorts out his tactical awareness he will be massive.

Out for tomorrow’s game, could potentially return for Spurs but doubt it, think that’s Arteta talk of not giving too much away. However, hopefully he won’t be out for too long. Great chance for Trossard this week to continue where he left off v Everton.
