Klaus All I saw when I clicked on the thread was people making fun of Martinelli when I thought they'd be celebrating, but I'll leave you to it.
Don't worry, securing the league—if it actually happens—will certainly mean a large chunk of the discourse turns to antagonisms and nitpicking over the attribution of credit for victory. That'll be a forever war waged across dimly perceived emotional ground, in which hardline opinions about players are used as the rationalising proxies or action figurines.
And we've already seen one forum member, whose identity has been structured by how shit our football and our manager and certain players supposedly are, experiencing an epistemic crisis at the approach of a possible league title.
That's the charm of being able to get behind the team when you can: if we somehow actually win something big then it'll be the first time in ages that reality submits to your logic and your bets pay off.
