Sicario2 I was a bit shocked to realise last night Jurrien Timber has scored more goals in one Premier League game than Martinelli has managed all season. Absolutely should not be starting Premier League games for us in 2026 and certainly not with his brainless twin on the other wing.

To be honest that headed clearance was big, and he then was the only one who kept up with the play to give Dowman a ball to play into him if needed. Max had other ideas though and had the execution to make it happen.

I was coming here to post the same.. Once he realized that Max was gonna take it in himself, he made sure there was no way the defender could catch him. Thought it was a great little team play from Mart and let the the kid have his huge moment (even if the defender was never gonna catch him).

All Martinelli did today was lose his dribble and hoof the ball out of play. Not the game for him, whatever. But praising him (especially in the context of endless insults towards our manager) is ridiculous.
Good intent but poor execution maybe. I liked that he took a chance and crossed the ball into the box though, we needed more of that from the wide areas. Dowman did the same and it bounced differently and that's how we ended up with 1-0.
Martinelli deserves little praise today, he was not great. Good positioning but useless with the ball.
World class effort not to get in the way for both goals. Elite lack of obtrusiveness.
