I think if we get another two great seasons out of Auba then that's two more than we've ever gotten from any striker since Henry left us. Resale value isn't everything, and I feel it shouldn't matter that much to the fans - ideally you wouldn't want your best players to be sold.

I would have reluctantly let him go earlier this summer if it meant using the money to sign a straight replacement with more years left in the tank, like Jovic or something, but I'd keep him regardless of the trade now. Also, giving United another golden boot winner is just not on. I'd sooner see us relegated than deal with that virus of a club.

Dealing with United should be a no. The only deal I would do with them is buy Martial from them.

Zaha would be welcome, but I get the feeling that a few players would need to exit.

Why does martial get a weird amount of adoration from arsenal fans? It's largley because he's done fuck all but has talent. If he ripped us apart ovee the past few years we'd hate him but career wise hes just floated around doing just enough. Not ben arfa ridiculously bad but half way there. If united were decent he'd have been turfed out.

To be honest, I would go for him at that price.

That as a front line, is genuinely threatening and would provide the sort of match winning pace, strength, skill and width we have lacked for years. Zaha and Pepe would beat defenders for fun and Aubameyang would have tal in after tap in.

He would not be my first choice next season, but Martial Aubameyang Pepe would have the potential for a lot of goals.

I think we might be able to get a better option by next year, but Martial has shown to have a real eye for goals. Under Jose, that United team we’re going nowhere, let’s see what he does this year.

Not for me. If we bring Pepe in I'm happy for the likes of Iwobi, Nelson and Martinelli to fight it out for game time on the other wing when Auba isn't playing out there.

As long as a player we've got is doing well I'll always be biased towards him.
I would not swap, but If we had Zaha and not Laca I probably wouldn't want to swap the other way either.

People seem to forget that you need atleast 3 strikers in the squad. Losing Lacazette would mean that we only have 1. We would end up running Aubameyang into the ground and no, Nketiah is incredibly raw and quite frankly not good enough. Might be OK as a third choice but a clear downgrade on Welbeck.

No. Laca is settled, doesn't pick up a lot of injuries and Zaha just isn't worth the trade. I'd have traded out Laca for Pepe though, so if the right player came up and we needed the funds I'd sacrifice Laca but it had to be the right guy coming in.

I too would the swap. If we are playing 433 and it means that our best weapon is always at 9, then I’m happy. And as adults says, Pepe and Zaha can play striker. Plus Nketiah.

i wouldnt do the swap.

id do everything i could to get some team to give us £15m for mkh, convince fenerbache to find £15m for ozil, and then convince some hapless team in italy to give us £10m for mustafi. then we should be able to find the rest of the money for zaha.

laca is a net positive for us, we shouldnt sell him.

I like Lacazette but he is not the most compatible player for Emery's type of football and never looks like ever repeating his Lyon goal tally despite not being in his prime then.
Zaha in tailor-made for Emeryball and he and Pepe together would make us totally forget about the lack of "number 10" play.

if we sell laca and auba gets hurt, our season is pretty much cooked. eddie isnt leading the line for a team with top 4 aspirations, and having to play zaha or pepe there would be robbing peter to pay paul
