It’s his midrange that he needs to improve. Once that’s done and teams have to respect his jump shot he’ll be truly unstoppable. His evolution has been interesting to witness.

this season has sucked. and they are still on pace for 53 wins.

the problem is horford in the starting lineup, because he fucks things up offensively and he isnt being used in a way that maximizes his ability. if he were playing 20 mins a night, mostly with the 2nd unit and then to clamp down defensively in the last 3 mins, it would be fine. but you dont give a 33 year old a max contact to play 20 minutes a night.

people (including sixers fans) bitch constantly about simmons, but hes one of the best defenders in the entire league, an incredible passer, and he does a lot of things to help the team win. i have no fucking clue why hes so afraid to shoot, considering his form has looked fine when hes actually attempted (and made) his 2 legit three pointers this season.

Never thought I'd say this. I'm feeling tinges of sympathy towards harden. Teams are totally strangling him off the ball.

simmons was out of this world today against the nets. played 42 minutes, had like 6 steals, a few blocks, and finished with a triple double. his defense has been incredible this season and hes a lock for first team all defense at this point. when the highlights of the game go up on house of highlights, highly recommend. him and thybulle are unreal defensively.

this team needs one guy who can play 20 minutes a game and handle the ball/create out of the pick and roll. that would unlock so much on this team. without that, i think we're going to fall short again this year.

and damn, when guys start guarding him tighter, hes going to get 90% of his outside shots blocked with that form

Good game. But he needs to work on his handles in the lane. Way too easy to strip. Just seems a little slow. Guys his size are zippier these days.

Not many guys his size. He’s the third heaviest player in the nba at 285lbs. Needs to trim up. Don’t expect him at his best till next season.

Okay. He's a creature. I'm thinking guys like Lebron are typically in the 250s.
In those highlights he kept bouncing the ball high and was getting stripped. I think he had about 5 turnovers. Maybe what he needed to do was post up, get position and get the ball, or just find other moves where he wasn't so exposed. It just didn't seem clever. Still a specimen though. Remember the first time I saw him play and I was just like wow.

But let's hope he sticks with it. Kids who peak early don't always pan out. I'll never forget watching Antwan Jamison dominate Duke by scoring 35 points with the ball in his hands for 53 seconds. I was shouting excitedly like Jones on any week night. But he didn't translate longterm.
