Copa América Brazil 2019
Half-time: Brazil 1-0 Argentina
Proper game.
This.
2-0 Firminho, but it's entirely Gabriel Jesus's goal:
What a player he is. He needs to leave City as soon as humanly possible.
Full-time: 2-nil
Brazil reach the final, Argentina out.
Argentina actually played well.
Dani Alves was MOTM for me though.
All important first goal was made by him but he actually shone in defence.

I agree. Alves is just a freak, he had that Javier Zanetti stamina today. It looked like he could run for days.
Jesus definitely had his best game in a Brazil shirt today, he's been often criticized about how poorly he's played with them.
Argentina picked it up during the 2nd half and it went downhill with Di Maria coming on and bringing in Dybala too late.
Yup. Di Maria was just tragic.
Messi put in a better performance in midfield but was still sub par compared to his normal self.
Arthur played really well in the first half and Coutinho had a decent game.
I wanted Argentina to win but their strikers were dominated by the Brazilians defence.
Shame Aguero's header bounced back into play off the crossbar and Messi hit the post as Brazil getting the 2nd goal killed the game.
They actually looked better playing normal football without the pass to Neymar every time tactic.

That's his first decent performance for Brazil just about imo.
Bit surprised Firmino didn't try his retarded "trademark" no look goal. He's like that annoying piece of shit kid in the park that would always try and skill his opponents and in the 1/100 attempt that it works wouldn't shut up about it. Honestly hoping Brazil lose for him alone
Damn completely missed the blatant foul in the background. Just seen the Messi interview and he has every right to be pissed
Ffs disgraceful stuff. Fair dues to Argentina for trying but they were up against it

Jesus? Really? Bloke almost always performs for the national team whenever I see them, World Cup aside. Firminho is the one who looks a bit out of his depth most times to me. He's a good player but you can also tell that's all he is. He doesn't have another tier in him, no ability to pull off anything unexpected.
Messi has no chill.
I wish all after match interviews were like this.
"They (VAR) got tired of calling shitty fouls in this Copa America and today they didn't even check it. Today they never went to the VAR. All the bullshit decisions were to favour them (Brazil). Cards for us, not for them. There were clear fouls that he (the referee) never saw. In the tournament there were shit handballs, stupidfuck penalties, and tonight nothing. I hope that Conmebol does something, although I do not think it will do anything because Brazil manages everything."
"You go mad because those are plays that take you out of the match, because the referee is not being fair. Unconsciously you leave the game. Zambrano said us to be calm, but he disrespected us with his performance as referee".
"In hot it is difficult to analyze. But they found themselves with a goal from nothing, in an isolated play. Beyond that, we always tried and we had the ball. They grabbed us in a counter and then we put two shots in the bar. And the penalties that they didn't gave us..."
"We played a great game, a very big effort. Brazil was not superior to us. We weren't able, but we have nothing to reproach ourselves for because we left everything behind. We had chances, the shot in the bar, the penalties and the two balls that crossed alongside the goal line..."
Messi is a whiney little shit. Far too used to being on the right end of biased officiating and corruption at Barca.

That makes near enough every sportsperson and fan a whiney little shit as it's normal to do that when you lose to your main rival.
Even the Brazilians agreed with him
I wonder if there will also be zero VAR stoppages in todays Chile Vs Peru game.

Flores goal.
Peru deservedly take the lead.
Chile have been sloppy with the LB a clear weak link.

You can find plenty of shit on Barcelona, but ffs they're screwed over by the ref nearly every week.
Peru 2 up.
Chile keeper caught walkabout!
Peru 2-0. Chile's golden age is truly done. Deserved scoreline so far
Vidal and Alexis are so off the pace it's embarrassing.
One way traffic now.
Sanchez and Vidal showing heart this 2nd half and are now driving Chile.
2nd half must be close to 90% Chile possession and i'm feeling sorry for then as Peru waste time.
Peru with a 3rd after a period of Olés.
3 minutes left but Chile are out!
Missed last minute VAR penalty to add insult to injury.
All match they couldn't cope with Guerrero who scored the 3rd goal.
One of the best old school centre forward performances i've seen in a while.
While we are probably the better team and the scoreline is undeserved, you can't expect to win a game after such a horrendous first half. Their keeper made fantastic saves while ours gifted them a goal.
Well done to Perú! They were very solid on the night.

Did you watch the clips I posted?
So annoying Peru didnt stop at 2. Have money on under 2.5 goals ffs. Didnt expect such an open game after so many 0 0s
Don't think CONMEBOL liked Messi's comments. Today he got a red card for this:
Incredible assist from Gabriel Jesus. 1-0 Brazil.
Who said Jesus wasn't good on crosses? Superb assist.
He's been the best player on the pitch.
Absolutely been.
Everton’s also an energetic chap. Firminho should time that header better with his beaver self
That's a penalty by tbe new rules, but it feels harsh because it was completely accidental.
Peru with a lifeline they don't deserve.
Ooh ref's checking the video . . . Doesn't change his mind, still a penalty.
Cool under pressure. Alisson nowhere.
We have a game. Get in.
Nice. Fuck this Brazil team
Klopp would've been proud of that goal.
What a lovely goal. Firminho with the tackle, Artur with the drive and a gorgeous finish by baby Jesus.
You knew Jesus was going to finish there
I think he's going to go up a level next season.
Brazil are better without Neymar.
