It's a pity this squad fell apart last year and went on a horrible run of results that meant we missed the world cup.

This team is much more limited than what we had a couple of years ago but it's still able to impress every now and then. The Ecuadorians were a very violent bunch.

As you say Chile is nowhere near the level of the COPA-winning version but they still play a very professional game.
Equador performed much better than the first game but, apart from Enner Valencia, the rest of the team were distinctly average.

Perfect results all around for Argentina to qualify if they beat Qatar.

Penalty shoot-outs aside, it's incredible how lucky this Argentinian side have been over the past few years. They've been consistently disappointing yet managed to advance to decent stages of the various competitions they've been a part of.
