Derby d’Italia about to start behind closed doors.
Will be interesting to see if teams can generate intensity. Excited.
Serie A 2019/2020 Thread
Ramsey was excellent tonight, scored and had an assist, probably Juve's best player IMO.
His fellow midfielders Matuidi and Bentancur also played very well especially after having come under a lot of criticism in last few weeks.
Sarri took a big call in dropping Pjanic tonight who has been horseshit off late.
Dyabala scored a class goal embarrassing Ashely Young twice on route.
Agree with all this. The first half started with high intensity, but Juventus lacked polish in the final 3rd. Again, as I watched them I couldn’t help but think how slow and indecisive our passing is. They hit it with speed short and long. Change flanks really quickly.
First real MotM performance i have seen from Ramsey, so happy for him. Title race looks like Juve - Lazio now. Inter have fallen off very quickly
Looks like Inter's squad wasn't equipped to handle Champions League this season. You gotta have mad respect for Inzaghi though. What an insane season he's leading Lazio through.
Ashley Young spend the last decade being bald but has now decided to reveal he can actually grow hair!
Ospina with an absolute shocker lmao
EDIT: To be fair it had a slide deflection from the head of his own defender but still..
Redeems himself with a ridiculously good pre-assist for the equaliser. What a kick out that was
I am so glad Ospina, good kick aside for Napoli's goal, does not play for us any longer. Just a total amateur.

To be fair to him it was an insane through ball not just a good kick plus he made a big save a minute before. Ospina has been like this since before coming here, capable of the worst and best at any moment.
It is his parrying from simple saves that kill me the most. The header from Lukaku where he pushes it straight in front of him is an example of this.
His basic technique is terrible, hence the frequent basic errors.
Sums it up really. Love his time wasting antics, so silly

The anti-Kyle walker
Should have spent the Pepé money on this bloke instead.
Gorgeous. Would’ve been a good use of the Pépé money.
Our central midfield has weakened everything else
Hasn't he had a pretty weak season?
He's been great. Lazio are pushing Juve for the scudetto this season. I think they would have been level on points if they had won tonight.
I may be confusing this season with last, it's getting blurry post restart.
Lazio are such a good team and I'd love for the players to win it, but on the other hand their fans are absolute scum, so I don't know what to think.
It's a tough one for sure. On one hand you've got Juve, the biggest cheats in the history of European football. On the other you've got the embodiment of neofascism in football.
It's slightly annoying that their Champions League campaign caused Atalanta to lose some steam in the league, because they're the one club you'd love to see win. They were terrific against Lazio tonight.

You can't post this one without posting this shades of Adriano 05 banger later
Kinda sad for Lazio, 2 goals up and managed to throw both the game and title away.
Yeah Milinko Savic had a poor season last year, back to his best this year. Last summer was ideal to buy him.
Ciro Immobile. 29 goals in 29 games. No player has had more goals at this stage of Serie A since 1959. Bloke is shitting on everyone else from a great height this year.
Not even Higuain during his last season at Napoli?
Not at this stage, no. Neither Higuain nor Toni ever managed 29 goals in the first 29 match weeks.
It's kinda insane that they still have 9 more games to play. Immobile could technically break the 40 goal barrier while playing for a team like Lazio. He has filled out well in latter years. He reminds me a little bit of Vieri currently.
To be fair Higuain also had less than half the amount of penalties at the end of the season. I'd still be surprised to see that record broken even if I like Immobile.
Alexis recaptured the form he had with us.
Serie A is a much easier league for over the hill players
And he probably caught up with his body rest during covid
He's been a flop in Italy too. This is just one game.
Yeah, it was his first goal in nine months.
Yeah. He's marginal. That attack is all Martinez, Lukaku and now Eriksen.
Gazidis should be declared persona non grata by the G-14 clubs.
To give credit to Gazidis, there are some green shoots appearing in the new Milan project.
They seem to have arrested the slide, are getting the results and all their summer signings have contributed significantly.
Paulo Dybala has started like a freight train after the restart.
Scoring classy goals pretty much every game.
Pretty crazy to think that Juventus wanted to sell him to Spurs to balance their account books.
Referees are giving easy penalties for handballs today in Serie A.
On this live Milan-Lazio game, Milan got an easy ball for a player who handled with his back turned to cross.
In Juve game, similar foul against De Ligt. And he got a yellow card to add insult to injury.
Did you see that first half from Bennacer though Claude? Half Vidal, half Xavi.

He’s been very impressive as always. He’s too good for this shit team. imagine saying that about Milan.
Rabiot scored this beauty earlier
Ronaldo puts them 2-0 up couple minutes later.. Only for Juve to shit the bed in 20 minutes and concede four
We should try to get Rebic. Greatest player on earth
Old man Zlatan with an assist and another penalty today and apparently a MOTM. Still king of Italy at the age of 38.

He's been a revelation since January.
Because Pioli gave him zero minutes before
When he's on his game he's literally unplayable. Technique pace and genuinely one of the strongest players I've ever seen
My first born son will be named Ante. Non negotiable as Arteta would say whoever shall bear my seed has no say in this.
If Atalanta beat Juventus this weekend, they will be six points behind them with six matches left.
Juve still have to play Roma and Lazio with a potential banana skin match against Sassuolo as well while Atalanta have to face Inter and Milan in the last six matches.
Could Atalanta do the unthinkable and win the league against all odds ?
I would love to see it happen.
It would be great for football if Atalanta won. They've been one of the more exciting and innovative teams in the game, on a shoestring budget. Juve do not need a hundredth straight title.
