It doesn’t matter. If he was European or Asian or non African, then its a problem? That he’s African or of African descent shouldn’t mean he can classify an entire nation like that. Are fake jerseys only made or sold in Senegal?

Again I think it may be nothing serious but it does perpetrate an insulting stereotype which is inappropriate.

Think I misinterpreted your initial post. Thought you meant it was racist but my point is if a chinese make a chinese joke it wouldn't be racist and vice versa.

But yeah it's just a joke. Many threads has gone off topic these days because we have nothing serious to discuss about in transfers

You didn't even understand the post, fake shirts aren't made or sold in Senegal it's mostly Senegalese blokes you see on European and African beaches and shopping streets selling them. In what way was I classifying an entire nation?

I said it's better to support someone from Senegal and you think it "perpetrates" an insulting stereotype. How long since you've been home?

I do get the impression that Adidas really like the connection with Arsenal in terms of the respective brands matching up. The line about making Arsenal the "envy of world football" is obviously good to read. I don't think it's all fluff. This partneship is important to them.

They've certainly delivered three beautiful kits and done some very good PR work. From a fan's perspective, I'm very happy with what the club and Adidas are doing together.

Great to hear it's the same designer for next season's kits.

Good vibes all around. Transfers, kits. What’s not to like?
A cool gesture would be if they changed only 2 kits. I suspect winning and star players will have just as much an impact on sales as new designs. It just says to fans we feel your struggle - you can still wear some old rags into the next season.
