Still not good, but would've been far less embarrassing.
Surely one of the rules of branding should be that in the effort to achieve high-concept designs that you maintain some key distinctive visual elements (eg. Like the colour scheme).
So so awful. Like a knock-off training kit.
Surely if you wanted to represent Islington on the shirt you could have actually printed a map on the shirt like this beauty, rather than this ripple wave nonsense.
Feels like the Adidas kits are getting progressively worse after a strong start.
I hope the team takes the collective decision to wear this as often as they wore the pink kit from last season. Forest Green/Navy (third kit) and Red/White (home kit) could hopefully satisfy most arrangements. We play United on Saturday; who is going to bite the bullet and adorn their away kit, I wonder.
KingslandBarge The pink one is actually decent. Not sure why we didn't wear it more often, maybe too close to the red shade
KingslandBarge unfortunately the pink one was the third kit... I don't think this nightmare clashes with a single home kit in the PL, so will probably be used a lot.
Panda was actually referring to the ManU one π
IBL ππ ooops well it's applicable to ours as well. Somehow the long sleeved version is even worse, the map lines continue onto the sleeves π€―
Clrnc True, no beef with the pink kit. QuincyAbeyie Yeah that seems likely. In the NBA, the team (or at least the one I follow) tends to choose liberally between the 2nd and 3rd based on their own internal preferences and superstition.
QuincyAbeyie just Wolves.
I can't believe that shirt turned out to be real. Incredible.
Now I've seen the players in action in the new away shirt, I sorta, kinda... like it. I know, I know...
Don't worry, I won't be rushing to buy it.
RocktheCasbah I felt the opposite. I think it looks even worse on the players, which is rare. Watching from a distance the stripes and spots make it look really weird IMO.
I do really like the blue keeper shirt to be fair.
Qwiss fair 'nuff, I realise I'm likely in a minority here. π
RocktheCasbah I don't hate it that much. I think it looks fine on the players in close ups. I'll be getting it for my kid, it'll make him easier to spot in the winter, but from the normal match cameras I just thought it looked really weird and very un-Arsenal-like. I still hate the white kits more.
the mls players were all confused so maybe our zebras will do the business this season. we'll see how yanited get on.
Wow you guys are all tough. I quite like the away shirt. I won't buy because I don't really do yellow, apart from my Matildas World Cup jersey, but I like the boldness. Our away kits should be yellow. I like the blue numbers too. I reckon visually when we press the opposition will feel even more overwhelmed.
Asterix Our away kits should be yellow.
Agreed, but this isnβt just yellow, it's neon. Shit looks like it'll glow in the dark.
