I have no idea man. I don't use the hot water input for my washer since about 2015 but that needs to be caveated with the fact that since then I've been living in a hot country and the "cold" water input is usually warm enough to shower in.
Remember that Nike yellow kit from 2010 or 2011? I had both that and the home kit (probably the last ones I bought before the Adidas ones) but never worn either. Went football in 2018 and wore the red one and after the 2nd wash the letters started peeling off. After that, the yellow stayed right in it's plastic from when I bought it.
I don't go football that much anymore and tend not to even wear my Arsenal kits when I do (even the fake ones). The fakes seem to have survived the washing but I do wash without fabric softener and with no spin anymore when I have a kit in there. Still, not looking to risk it on the real thing when I can get a perfectly good looking one for $10 or so.
