We could easily be pegged back, but last I checked beating the second best team in Serie A 2-0 was something to be celebrated. Seeing the mood here is disconcerting. Our travails have killed our ability to enjoy the moment. I’m savoring a confident attacking display against a quality side. A performance that says we can beat any Europa team on our day. Didn't Napoli come down from the CL Group Stage making them a CL side more than Europa - same as when we got knocked out last season?
Napoli are probable the toughest opposition to face that's not from the PL.
Job may not be done as yet but it's ours to lose which makes me fairly confident baring any further injuries.

2-0 is a great result. Like Ray says, if we score 1 then they have to score 4. This won't be like the Everton match, because 0-0 or 1-0 isn't going to work for them. They need to both attack and defend like crazy.

Worry is we'll do this numpty idiocy of sitting back to nervously defend the 2-0 with no desire or plan to score.
We'll see what emery does with them. It's all new territory.

When was the last time Napoli even played a European semi-final? As I said before the game, we should really be beating them, they have a poor European pedigree, we have a good record v Italian teams and they couldn’t deal with our intensity which was expected. Should have got at least one more but maybe they would have made us lose focus for second leg.

Emery doesn't seem to have coached us into a great counter attacking side, and we aren't great defensively. The concern is we'll go there with the wrong mentality and get pinned back

It was a wonderful performance by itself. I enjoyed the game. The problem is this is a two legged tie, and our away form has been dog you know what all season.

Let’s just say I am very cautiously optimistic.

I think assuming a 3-0 victory to them after the match we just saw is … a little too pessimistic.

I saw a team we can score an away goal against even if we're flailing around a bit. It's not guaranteed, but I think we should progress.

We will be fine as long as we don't concede early on. I don't trust the mentality of these players, the manager can do little. We gave up 3 goals in Rennes, different playing the first leg there, I know, and we lost to BATE.

We play away at Watford on Monday night. A good result there could give us momentum going into this game.

Have to give props to AMN after last night. He had a real 2/10 game vs Everton and I was nervous that it will be more of the same but he played so so well. Defended pretty good and was great attacking wise. And that pass for the goal was amazing. Laca actually played a bad pass as AMN was running on the outside, but he managed to some how turn, stop the ball with a sweet touch and then that soft pass to Ramsey. Hope this AMN turns up vs Watford.

Just like so many of our players, this AMN does not turn up away.

Can Koscielny play Monday and then Thursday?

He has to play on Monday due to Sokratis getting a 2 game ban, if he can’t play next Thursday we’ll have to play the clown.

No matter what happens, Mustafi always finds a way back in.

Mustafi has to play. I think we need to manage the Sokratis ban and Koscielny health situation by making sure at least one is playing with Mustafi for the next two weeks. And then we can try to get as much Sokratis-Koscielny as we can as the season ends. We must deal with Mustafi.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert

As long as we have our main players all on the pitch together, I'm confident we will beat anyone.
