Ryan Fraser
He's a good player but surely we can get younger players with the same profile.
He's only just turned 25 though - I like him. I'd put him in the 'maybe' pile if none of our other targets work out.
Same, I like him too.
He’s decent but probably not at the level we should aspire to
Would much rather Brooks if we're signing a younger attacker from Bournemouth.
His numbers are as good as Iwobi / Rambo in terms of goals and assists, but his creativity in terms of chances created is 2nd only to Messi as the icing on the cake. He sounds like a Cazorla type with Pepe impacts, and he's supposedly quick.
i like what i've seen of him, and we could probably get a deal done fast. feels like a hodgson-era liverpool type of signing though. and yet i'm not sure who i'd take ahead of him, who is in our price range and available
I rate him too. Great dribbler with end-product, PL proven, can play on either flank and still has scope for improvement. What would he cost though?
Given his contract is up in a year I would assume reasonably cheap, would be a good Ramsey replacement.

Really? it seems similar to the signings Liverpool have made within the league recently.
When I watch Fraser I often wonder if he's one of those players that look good at their level but fail to make the step up or if he ends up like one of those signings where you question why no one else went for him.
If the price is right, I'd say it's worth the gamble.
Absolutely. For anything under 25M I would love for this to happen. What’s his injury track record?
Surprised so many people is in awe of him. Good player but I think we can do better if we are signing only 1 winger.
Seems like the perfect pressing player Emery wants though
No one's really in awe of him, are they?

Shaqiri/wijnaldum level
That's not been a bad thing. I'd rather spending money on Fraser than waste much more time on Denis Suarez
Wijnaldum has been great this season.
emery could probably get good production out of him in a utilitarian fashion. i was hoping we'd land a winger with a bit more individual quality

In what regard = goals / assists / changes created?
or do you mean ability on the ball?

Numbers are comparison to Iwobi in terms of goals and assists?
IN what way?
Fraser's are far superior.
Pretty good player. Could be great here if he takes another step up.

In so much as Rambo and Iwobi being seen as our 2nd tier goal scorers behind Laca & PEA, and you could add Mkhi in there as well.
Agreed Frasers numbers would make him our 3rd highest contributor in terms of goals scored, and his creative contribution would lead our numbers this season.
He may not be a buzz name like Bailey & Malcolm last season or Pepe this season, but he'd still be an improvement on our current wide options if we went back to a 4 man defence with wingers or even perhaps a front 3.
I want us to commit to Ozil behind the front two which is why I'm against this. I liked the way we played against United and to maximise the value we get from that set up we need a new center back (possibly two), left back and box-to-box midfielder for it to work. The attack becomes less important and we'd need to shop around for young strikers to offer competition to Laca and Auba.

Second this whole-heartedly. I love the 3-5-2 as well and think it's our best formation. However, don't think Emery is sold on it. He's still a 4-2-3-1 man and most likely he will default back to that formation next season. In that circumstance, I'd be happy to get Fraser.
Seeing all the stats I'd like Maddison actually. Though Frasier probably more in the mold Emery wants.
There is no way wecare going to "commit" to any formation under Emery.

Yes its not that much of a gamble he has already done it in the prem like Ings. So he's got decent resale value aslong as he's not looking for a silly contract.

I suspect that we're nailed on to play the 3412/3421 for the remainder of this season as it best suits our available resources.
I'd be somewhat surprised if we went into next season with it still being our formation of choice, but that is perhaps more likely to be impacted by our transfer success or the lack there-of.

Maddison is the British player I want us to sign too, but he'd cost so many monies right now and he'd have to play centrally. Maybe the day Özil leaves.
Changed my mind- he’s a definite want
Good awareness, deliveries, low centre of gravity and fast
He has a very good understanding with Wilson = 33 of 43 goals scored.
His stat is really pretty decent for a winger

Poor man's Hazard, which is not a bad thing.
That’s an excellent match comp.
Definitely Hazard-like in style, only if you knocked Hazard's almost perfect close control and dribbling down to just pretty good. Wouldn't have any attribute to shout about then.
Not sure about this one.
Not good enough. Come on.

Depends on price and where we finish = CL or not.
Would also think he is more a Cazorla type as seen at Villarreal perhaps rather than Hazard, who is a probable Ballon d'Or winner if he moves to RM.
Fraser ticks a lot of boxes and is 'PL proven', but I'd be surprised if we signed him if we regained CL status, as I'm expecting we'd be looking to make a statement signing (or two) if wee did so as we'd be looking to offload possibly all 4 of Mustafi, Xhaka, Mkhi and Ozil.
He can be the Welbeck replacement perhaps (depending on price tag). I'd rather make any statement signing at CB (with Mustafi and Chambers being sold).
2 assists today, that makes it 12 for the season, level with Hazard and Eriksen.
He could be a very clever buy, as others have mentioned above, for £20m (year left on his contract) he’d be a good Wele replacement.
