Think that’s a nothing article personally. The window is barely open. And we absolutely have to be careful with our signings this summer considering the budgetary constraints and direction we are trying to go. We are essentially gambling now, and you don’t rush to pour all your chips into the center of the table if you’re the short stack.
Regarding the Carrasco v Suarez links, ultimately it was a waste of our time, but even in retrospect I don’t know if it would have been a great move to go for the Belgian - it’s not like Carrasco is a sure thing either coming as he would’ve from China (a much less competitive league), and I noticed he didn’t get much game time for Belgium against a hapless Scotland team. All that said, I think that had more to do with calculus on how much we were willing to spend at that point in the season versus saving it for the end of the season, I.e. now, when we know for sure what our situation is both financially and in terms of our CL status.
