Yeah we won't be pulling up any trees in the Champions League.

I think we have a good chance in the league though.

We play Spurs women at half 1 today. I'm off to the Emirates to see it. It will be a sellout crowd for the WSL.

Yes 4-0 flobs 🙂 a great performance from the girls. Tottenham are rubbish. Long may that continue.

All in all a really fun day out, cant complain for £7.50 a ticket! They sold 53,000 tickets but 47,000 attendance. Nearly everyone stayed at the end to applaud as they did a lap as well.

I hadn't been to the Emirates since the Emery end of season collapse and it felt good to be back!

Yeah she has been very and up and down so far.

Some unconfirmed reports say that it is the leftover effects from Covid which she got during Euros. Still she was played for every possible minute by the Dutch manager without being fully in shape.

200% this. Think she lost by a vote, but I get tired of this Spanish monopoly over awards. She was fantastic in this game. I only saw the 9 minute highlights but you could see her quality.

That Lyon result is incredible given that Lyon has not lost by more than one goal in Europe since 2009.

They have never conceded 4 in a game since the formation of the club, let alone 5.

Katie McCabe is great. Spiky player with a prickly attitude to match. Not one for mid-game pleasantries.

Horrible 3-2 loss for our women against Man United at the Emirates. 2-1 up with 15mins to go end up losing 3-2 to 2 set piece goals. Have to think lack of our 2 1st choice cbs did not help with that.

As good as Nobbs was on Saturday, we really miss Kim a lot.

Also, really don't get what's happening with Viv!

She's been given a break to rest. She got covid over the summer and has had difficult long covid effects. I've followed, having suffered similarly. But Maanum has come in and can play at 10, meaning we can use Miedema in other places, even father back as needed. Will see how it evolves once she's healthier. It's amazing how stacked the team is now, we could even let Nikita go, given how weak we looked 2 seasons back

Beth Mead has ruptured her ACL very bad news for the season. 🙁 The team does have a lot of depth but losing 1 of your most productive forwards is a big blow.

I can't think of a like for like replacement so Jonas will have to get creative.

Can't help but feel we will have another trophyless year now.
