Mirth I don't know what you mean, or rather, I don't know how you know who has an appetite and what they have it for? Anyway, the conflict won't be widespread as such, it'll be proxied out to sacrifice zones as is the contemporary way.
I'm happy you're so certain that it'll all come to nothing, but I can't shake the feeling that the world is on edge. The US is weak and disorganized, soft power is falling off a cliff after years of steady decline, and there are forces who would step into the void given the right set of circumstances. It's already happening elsewhere, why not there?
But I'm probably just nervous about the game.
