Instead of arguing in a bunch of threads whether a goal was merely good or a bona fide Ballon d'Tolly contender use this thread to post all screamers and beauties for this season. Maybe we can create some poll or something at the end

Not as good as Ramseys goal yesterday but I can't seem to find a working youtube link for that one. Not the first time Boufal scores an outrageous solo goal, his winner vs West Brom for Soton last year was even better

Great idea for a thread Jonesy

Yeah, nice thread idea.

Here's a stream of that third goal against Fulham (got the link via Arsenalist, sometimes they die but seems ok for now)

Love seeing Sturridge spot it, and execute brilliantly. For me this was an outrageous goal in that it's so much harder to slow down and execute such a clean strike than it is to react naturally/intuitively.

Iago Aspas really only gets better. Outrageous goal and the replay shows that was 100% intentional

Shit quality but still outrageous goal

Better quality here

Couple minutes later he gets this ridiculous assist

Incredible. I was watching the goal over and over for the deflection but there was none.

Btw Jones, speaking of Frankfurt, just how good is Haller? Is he as good as his numbers suggest this season or is he just enjoying a bit of great form?

He's possibly even better than the figures suggest, absolutely invaluable to the team. So far this season he's basically Giroud with pace and better finishing, wins a ridiculous amount of headers and very nimble feet for a guy of his size. If you think I'm exaggerating - he's both top scorer and top assister in the league (before the last two games he was even tied first in Europe with Neymar), he also leads the league in duels fought, duels won, aerial duels fought and won.

He had a good start to his Eintracht career last season but fell off a cliff after the turn of the year, but even when he was scoring he seemed awkward and was not really in sync with his team mates. Now he looks like a completely different player, regularly bullying two centre halves by himself and Jovic and Rebic play perfectly off him, he's massively helped by the far more attacking style of Hütter compared to Kovac too.

That's what I thought. I've only seen him play once this season but I noticed he has double digits in both goals and assists. It's very impressive. Seems like a really good player with natural striker's movement. You reckon he's gonna be off soon, or will they manage to hold onto him?

Difficult to say, I was sure we'd lose Rebic after last season, the cup final heroics and his WC final run but we managed to hold him and even extend his contract. Jovic and Kostic are also secured on two year loans plus options and Haller seems very much down to earth, wouldn't be surprised to see him stay even longer depending on where we finish at the end of the season.

Dan James against Brentford in the FA Cup - not the greatest of stages, but sizzling run.

No wonder Leeds and Bielsa was furious about not getting him

Now that is quick. Thierry / young Feo / young Bellerin quick. I’m impressed.

Good ol' kick and run goal. Impressive.

Not sure if you’re being a flobaba, but you do know many of Henry’s goals were of the good ol kick and run variety. Pace is a vital commodity for a forward /any player. We don’t even score those types of goals against none premier league teams nowadays despite having Aubameyang who is supposed to be one of the quickest out there.

I'm definitely not being flobby. His top speed is very impressive.

Auba isn't really fast, just used to be.

Oh look, an excuse to post this goal:

I love that goal so much. Zanetti was the fastest fullback in Europe at the time too, and Henry stops and lets him catch up, and then embarrasses him again just because he found his constant shirt-tugging annoying.

Honestly one of my favourite goals of all time. Such a display of power and skill.

He only tips over Zidane, Ronaldo, Guti and three Real defenders with that run. 😆

I think the studio had invited Michael Laudrup for that game, and he kept talking about Real Madrid and their history and how great they are and how Arsenal wouldn't stand a chance now with Vieira gone, and then they switched to the second half and Henry immediately does that. I almost wished the camera had stayed in the studio.

How easy he made that look. Smh. We need world class players again.

I must've seen this goal like hundreds of times. Menez was a dickhead 90% of the time but when he could be bothered he was incredible

this goal is a joke. the awareness and skill to put it all together.

I've always loved how he realised he needed to get the ball up because they were closing in behind him and had the audacity to chip it in with his backheel.
