Amazing goal line clearance from Konate.

Bayern tearing Leipzig apart now. Only good fortune and great defending from Konate are keeping it at one goal.

You watching this game to get your fix of footie?

Barca Valencia Copa Del Rey Cup final at 20.00 PM.

Yes. I always get the bug bad at the end of the seaosn when it's all on the line.

Will probably watch the second half of that one too.

Based on what I'm seeing tonight, sign me up for that Konate hype.

It’s not this bad this summer actually. We still got a week to go of play offs, European finals and then the Nations League, Copa America, Arsenal in the US and the Emirates Cup. What more could you ask for :-)

Add to that all the transfer madness and football never really goes away.

Neuer with another incredible save in a one-on-one with Forsberg.

Great through ball from Konate.

This has been a great second half. Both teams could have scored 5 goals.

Game over. Coman and Lewandowski with superb goals.

Ribery on for his last few minutes in football.

So, Ricky, what you think about Konate coming into partner Sokratis next season based on what you saw tonight? And what Would be a fair price range?

I do not think a defender like Sokratis would be the ideal partner for the kid. Konate was very aggressive in his marking, constantly playing on the front foot, and he looks a very clean tackler. But I reckon a wise old head, a bit more reserved in his defending would suit him better. More Mertesacker in style than Sokratis.

He's definitely still a bit wet behind the ears. A few times he really didn't spot the danger until a lot later than he should have. And he got caught out 3 or 4 times after a charge forward. He showed great pace to get back when he did spot the danger though.

I was a bit disappointed he left Lewandowski unmarked in the box so many times. Probably about 10 by my count. Sometimes he had switched off momentarily, other times he was legitmately picking up someone else. The ball always finds its way to Lewandowski though. Something De Ligt made sure he was aware of when Ajax played Bayern earlier in the season. He was all over him every single time. I remember being very impressed by that at the time.

He's a cracking prospect though. Shades of a young Koulibaly. Quick, extremely powerful, decent on the turn for a guy that is 6'3" or 6'4" and a modern defender in the way he defends with tight marking, on the front foot, a clean and precise tackler, and looks to progress play when he's on the ball.

At this stage, though, I don't think anyone's paying more than £30m for him because he still has a lot of learning to do. I don't see who'd pay more right now. De Ligt is going for a lot more but he's an old head on young shoulders.

Konate has just turned 20 today and Red Bull have no need for money. There's zero chance he'd leave for 30m, and to be fair regardless of the club he plays for he should command a lot more than that

If Leipzig want more than £30-40m for him this summer then I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

Stuttgart just lost the relegation play off (Germany has a system where the last two go straight down and the third from bottom plays a play off final vs the third in the 2nd tier) which has happened like once in the last ten years 😆 hope Mislintat enjoys Erzgebirge Aue away

Oh dear, Sven. 😆

Being down in Bundesliga 2 will give him a chance to show what he's made of, I suppose.

Is that the name of aclub or the name of the second tier German league

Why would they enjoy the second tier German league away?

Sven will be happy. He can just use the matches as opportunities to scout obscure talent, and save himself valuable time.
