Results wise happy with Emery so far. Can't imagine we would have the same number of points had Wenger still been in charge. We have ridden our luck at times, which shows there is still room for a lot of improvement. Even when not at our best, the winning streak has led to a noticeable improvement in our players' confidence which was needed post-Wenger.
Tactically he seems better able to respond when things are not quite going right initially. His decisions, I think, are also more effective because the players are more confident and so don't seem to approach it with fear while opposition teams are starting to think the opposite again. For this environment, Emery deserves credit.
However, while we didn't want to rush to premature judgements had results not been positive, likewise I believe we need to see how Emery's strategies unfold over a longer period. Wenger's teams went on several ridiculously good runs, but very rarely made them decisive over the recent seasons. Injuries etc have all played their part and so it comes down to how Emery responds in adversity.
The good thing though is that very early on, Emery seems to have escaped any threats of Wenger's legacy by virtue of our improved play and results.
