One of the things you realize when you watch Barcelona with all their battle-hardened stars, especially led by the god that is Messi is that this is an elite team, playing football on a different plane (and not even the best version of itself in the past decade). We are basically a Championship side relative to what the superclubs are doing. It’s a different language
It's nearly all Messi, in all honesty.
Suarez is amazing too, better than any one else around not named Cristiano, but the rest of that team is not other worldly or that amazing. And as a team, a collective, they're not a patch on Barcelona teams of old. Real Madrid of a few years back would do terrible things to them as well.
Where are the "super clubs" you speak of?
The other semi-final has two teams in it that we could give a very good game. And Liverpool did not look super tonight. City would get taken apart by Messi, look what bloody Son did to them! Bayern are poor, Madrid are poor.
It's a good time to play Champions League knock-outs, as long as you avoid Lionel Messi for as long as possible.
