Mané and Salah are top players. It's strange to ignore them and big up the much more common place fullbacks.
Put "Trentinho" in a team that doesn't have forwards like that and see what happens.
A good comparison is Marcus Alonso at Chelsea. When the team changed a bit and he wasn't as well protected and the balance wasn't slanted toward his good points, his pathetic defensive game was offered up for the world to see. It was there all along, people just didn't see it (if you ignore the revisionism) because Chelsea had a winning team and his attacking contributions masked the rest.
He's a bang average Premier League fullback that can't get in ahead of Emerson, himself a really average Premier League fullback. Always has been. But boy can he cross and take a free kick. Can even finish at the back post really well. He can't run, can't tackle, no positonal sense, poor concentration . . . Sounds familiar.
