Thats what I thought was happening when I looked at it. And i think when kepa eventually realised he might have been subbed for ability reasons he was to embarrassed to go along with it.
You cant underestimate how unbelievably stupid these guys are. The clubs have helpers who do everything for them and they have personal assistances who do everything else and agents. They don't have to work anything out for themselves. I wasnt in the slightest surprised when kepa couldn't work out what as happening.
To pick a random example of stupidity I've seen, and this isn't extreme its average. I've seen a player fight with his agent to get new socks(he saw messi wear on insta). Now he could just buy them on pro direct with his 50k+ wages but that would require doing something. Or he could ask the club but he might have to wait a day or two. So he wanted his agent to get them of Adidas or Nike. But then the agent has to drive half way across the country to meet up with Nike rep to get the socks to deliver them to the player. And he was adamant he was going to fire his agent if he couldn't get him new socks. They're £15-20 and agent cant steal 2 hours of the top Nike reps time for something so trivial. And a day of his own time driving up and down the country. And the player was chav rude when he wants getting his way. And that's your standard footballer.
