His confidence is clearly shot and it has been the whole time at Chelsea. He looked decent before that, most strikers suffer at Chelsea. It even took drogba a couple of seasons to settle. They've chewed up a ton of strikers before and after him.

O'Niell and Keane gone from the Rep of Ireland by "Mutual agreement". Delighted, hated having Keane involved and even more so once he started making the atmosphere in the camp so toxic. Ireland have fuck all talent at the moment if the team aren't playing for each other there is no hope of qualifying for tournaments.

They need to build a central academy for talent Irish players and go from there. Not one of the club's have full time academy's so the young lads are only training 2 hours a week. It's a piss take. They've relied on English clubs developing our talent for us. But as it gets more and more competitive that's becoming less effective. Its genuinely embarrassing how poor the setup is. And players have been highlighting it for 10-15 years.

Its a joke. The LOI is treated with contempt and nothing is done in terms of an academy. English football started replacing Irish kids with lads from the continent 25 years ago but the FAI still haven't reacted. Need to get Delaney out. I'd love to see Kerr given some sort of role in setting up an academy or some other youth structure. He was brilliant for underage Irish players and we haven't brought through the same quality since. I also heard Liam Brady on the Arsecast saying there is no way we'd be losing so many players to other countries now if Kerr was there, he even reckons Kerr would have had Kane before he got capped by England.
