A round trip is 11 hours and, according to the link, further flooding is expected this weekend. Meanwhile oxygen is slowly being depleted. Any attempt to drill into the cave and create an alternative opening could result in a collapse as well.

This could have a very grim ending.

Rescue workers are eating up the oxygen in the cave and have depleted it to 15%.

If it rains, the kids could be stuck in the cave for months.

12 kids and their coach stayed lost in a cave with no light, food etc for almost ten days with no idea that anyone was even looking or would find them.

A rescue worker who was in the Thai navy died while swimming back as he ran out of oxygen.

Any of the above sentences is crazy beyond imagination. Crazy story. Hope they make it out.

It is such a terribly dark story. Every day must be hell for the families affected, and these divers must be the most truly courageous people ever. Hoping for the best for them, I really am.

The narrow parts of the passage are really narrow. Ridiculously so.

I've been on a boatride through one of the most claustrophobia inducing of these and the thoughtof actually having to dive through it is nuts.
