Last I saw of Gomes, he did not look quick enough, but maybe we can get more out of him. Certainly with confidence at Valencia he was a different player. I would pay very little, at this stage no one is giving Barca big money for him, and just getting him off their wage bill they should consider.
If he comes at a bargain price, he could be a decent option.
If you asked me to pick, I would go with an athletic midfielder like Ndombele, I think he and Torreira would revolutionise us.
