Crespo and Eto'o were probably least floplike of the bunch, but they weren't particularly good by any comparable standards.

Torres and Shevchenko are probably the two biggest flop signings in Premier League history though when you factor in price, expectations and the level they held before signing for the Chavs.

I'm more optimistic because I'm still on the high that Wenger is actually gone. Most of you lot demand immediate from the new manager but I'm actually happy we're seeing some development at all - although the most recent developments of Mislintat's departure and the club's ridiculous financial state still reek of the same old Arsenal

Fernando Torres was the worst starting center forward in the PL in the half-season before he signed for Chelsea.

He was a good level or two below his prime because Liverpool had completely fucked his recovery from his injuries at that point but his level at Chelsea was still distinctly worse. He was always dependent on his physicality but that doesn't explain the ridiculous misses and overall bumbling idiot act he performed there

Torres in his prime was probably one of my favorite strikers around. It's a shame his body was so fragile.
