I think referee played advantage and decided not to call it. The law says a player is sent off if he denies a goal or goal-scoring opportunity. The goal stood, so there was nothing to punish in the strictest reading of the law

Liverpool's fullbacks are the joint top assisters in the league, so it's easy to see where their creativity comes from. However why don't teams set up to neutralise the fullbacks? Baffling!

Their midfield hardly creates anything

Salah's brilliance and Mane's running is not far off all they have. Genuinely. It works for them though. Can't argue with it really.

Just looked at the Premier League total points for last 10 years. Pool’s total would’ve won every season except last season. In fact, of the other 9 years, other than one season, their current total would’ve won very comfortably. What these guys have done is exceptional whatever happens. I can only hope that we will be anywhere near this strong in the near future.

Our wide players hardly ever pick up a player.
Xhaka is the only one who consistently puts in a decent cross if he has time.
AMN and Mkhi are okay but the others ...
Kola is hit and miss with his blind effort after blind effort.
Iwobi panics with a nothing ball.
Ozil used to do it but nowadays keeps cutting back into traffic.
Bellerin's efforts are laughable (other than the 20 minute spell against chelsea, 9 months ago).

It's just a decent cross into a decent area. He doesn't pick him out, there's not tons of pace on it.

It's good from Alexander-Arnold and brilliant from Salah to find the space.

Nothing special. Just what happens if you attack quick and early against these cannon fodder teams in the Premier League.

How they perform next season depends entirely on how much the 50 games from this season have taken out of van Dijk, Mane and Salah.

Salah could be in trouble because he has a hard summer ahead of him too.
