One of these days I'm sure I'll see you post an opinion about football instead of questioning the intentions of the poster to the nth degree.
In this instance, I would say brave is a better word than clever for what I meant, because it seems pretty obvious to me (and from what I see, to most others as well) that Mbappé is a different beast when he plays off the shoulder and has the freedom to pick holes in a defence without being shackled to the right wing.
