Not a bad price for him. We should be all over that.

Phew.. dodged a houseboat bullet there

Alban Lafont has joined Fiorentina for €8.5m. Interested to see how he does after a dodgy season last year.

Will fade into obscurity.

Mahrez to City, for Β£60m. Medical this week.

Its moments like these, when you realize, how big the financial gap is, with them.

60m for a backup.

Shouldn't FFP be preventing this sort of thing? Or does it just prevent clubs from taking on debt and owned funded equity is acceptable? I know they have a shady Etihad sponsorship contract which effectively funds the club through an inflated contract - not sure if there's more to it.

It's all down to just amazing coaching by the bald messiah.

They were so short last year and couldn't compete in all comps remember? So much adversity.

UEFA FFP rules are pretty tough to break to be honest unless you're in full dick swinging mode like PSG. You can make a Β£35m loss over a period of 3 years and even then it excludes expenditure on certain things like infrastructure.

Also I imagine Man City are probably expanding the revenue significant every season since they have a lot of slack compared to established clubs.

I like arsedocs irrational burning hatred of City and the bald one. Diversity makes this place more interesting everyone hating the same target is boring

Apparently Barca have had a bid in excess of 50m rejected by Chelsea for Willian. Wow.

Edit: Before I get called up by the police, this is from "Sky sources".

Willian hardly seems a Barca player to me. I'm not even trying to dog on him, as I think he's quite the player.

Think he'd be binned within a year or two.

He's also 30 in a month.

Barcelonas targets seem so random. Fail with a 100m bid for Griezmann try with half that for Willian next

Barcelona's recruitment over the past few years has been fairly poor. Some good players but most of them seem underwhelming.

Didn't even notice. Fixed now.

Is Ronaldo actually going to Juve?

Higgy to Chelsea for 60m EUR doing the rounds, would certainly help fund the transfer fee.

These days of no World Cup footy are extra houseboaty.

I could live with that. I think the Higgy ship has sailed.

"Real Madrid and Real Sociedad have agreed to the transfer of the player Alvaro Odriozola, pending the medical examination, and the player remains linked to the club for the next six seasons," a statement from Real Madrid read.

Same bloke who tore us apart when we played Γ–stersund. He's a terrific player. Should start for the Swedish national team but somehow he didn't even make the cut for the World Cup.

Yep sharp signing that.

Will be interesting to see how Potter gets on a Brian Swan’s Swansea

Is he really that massive? He looks like Hightower from Policy Academy.

No, the stand just looks smaller because it's in the distance.

I think he's average height. Around 6 ft.

think he'll go the way of Ighalo.. Great for a season until people figure out how to play against him, then fade into obscurity in China. (granted, he's a midfielder, i just meant in general)
