I think our treatment of Özil has been disgraceful, but the bottom line is that if Emery was up to the task as a manager not a single soul would care. Big players get sacrificed all the time in football. You need to be able to back your shit up though, like when Wenger let go of Wright and Anelka and then brought in Henry. He knew what he was doing because he was a great manager.
Emery on the other hand has failed to achieve any kind of results while alienating and driving some of our best players out of the club, so it's entirely reasonable that people come for him. Shit football and shit management sums up Arsenal lately, and whatever people think of him it's not really Özil who has to leave in order for us to sort it out.
