Emery's point of view is clear and we know it from last year. He is using the same tactic but from a stronger position as Ceballos, Pepe, Willock, Saka and Nelson are far better than Mkhi, Elneny and Iwobi meaning he will never need Ozil. He took advantage of the robbery situation to drop him with a minimum of fuss and I am sure Ozil is never again playing for the first team even if he achieves Sir Mo's level of fitness with Emery hoping that he chooses to leave early in order to play.
Bogarde said he would've accepted going on loan if chelsea paid the difference as nobody was paying his high wages and I would hope Ozil would do the same as his continued presence cannot be positive for either side.
