I'm a big Pellegrini fan, but he's 64 and looks enough like Wenger that it'd be pretty frickin weird.

I admit I want an exciting up and coming guy for my own entertainment, but if it were Pellegrini I'd be happy enough.

Looks like my thinking may be right after all, Kroenke thinks they can replicate the success he's had with his NFL team.

That said I reckon it's actually doable if we add the Cash Reserves to the initial 50m, and then change our financial strategy to spend known remaining revenues before they are received, and then not hold in reserve those funds to cover our season operating costs ahead of the receipt of the outstanding revenues.
Lastly we can add any additional revenues from player trading.

As such we could still retain our self funding and only spend what we earn policies, yet by relaxing our ultra conservative approach we can actually make our revenues work for us when we need to do so.

I'm warming to the idea of Carlo coming to get us in a solid position over a couple of years. His track record is fantastic. Then we go for Jardim or Vieira.

The beauty of him is his adaptability, he can play attacking or defensive and any formation. He makes the best of what he has. While many other managers shift the teams style to suit them.

We really need a coach like klopp more than a manager. Were going to have to develop players and not just develop a system like Jose does.

I don't think we can afford to buy our way to the top. So development like the way spurs and Liverpool bough young players and developed then is the best option. But it's a long term project. A lot of the player have taken 4ish years to really come good for them.

Jardim is the dream really. I'm not sure if this project would suit Allegri.

Its true of Spurs but not really true of Liverpool. They've mostly bought well and the guys who are coming through and looking good have done it very quickly.

Spurs and Liverpool are where they are because of their managers, take them away and they will go back to 5th-6th. And we are where we are because of our manager. Salah-Firmino-Mane would be flops under Wenger same goes for Son-Kane-Alli

Thats probably true and even if its not Wenger could easily have signed 4 of that 6 if he hadn't lost his touch for recruitment.
