Love how butt hurt the Man Utd fans have been since this announcement. They were convinced he was going to walk out for free in the summer and join them. Suddenly he isn't good enough and showed a lack of ambition. You'd think they don't even realise they've finished behind us in the last 3 seasons...

I don’t think it’s that outlandish. If Ozil played at this level for an extended period and managed to win top trophies he wouldn’t be that far off. The only reason they’re not comparable is because Zidane was magic for years, not months.

To be fair you did say "i've seen" (not that i agree with that line of reasoning) but you shouldn't be calling anyone who disagrees a mug as they just may happen to be more knowledgeable than you.

I think the least we can expect of those who disagree with him is that they say who they've watched after Zizou who's so much closer than Özil that thinking Özil being the closest is a ridiculous opinion.

I don't believe he said that Özil is the best player he's seen since Zidane. Kane and De Gea have been better for example, but I don't think watching them has been closer to watching Zidane.
