For a man that tries so hard to control how he is perceived he does show a remarkable lack of awareenss and judgement sometimes. He's a little detached from reality in some respects, similar to Wenger. It's almost like you have to be such an obsessive to be a good manager.

Should he say that their academy is irrelevant because they can just buy whoever they want? 😆

The Laporte deal is done, he has paid his release clause.

Laporte-Stones is a seriously good partnership on paper, both only 23 years of age with good amounts of experience, good height, and good on the ball.

Yeah you could see a guy like Diego Costa eating them for breakfast.

Dunno about Malcom but if Potchetino can get the best out of Lucas, he has the potential to terrorise PL defences.

Potchetino is being linked with Real as the Zidane replacement, the sooner that happens the better.

Moura has a bit of Lennon about him.

Come off that. Lucas may have had a shit time these last few years but no way can you compare him to Lennon. I'm not sure I'd even compare Lennon to the Ox or Walcott.

At a stretch he's Walcott.

Lennon was hot for a minute. He was going to be the next Shaun Wright-Philips. For a minute.

Lucas hasn't looked amazing whenever I've seen him but he's not a pace merchant, he does have decent ability on the ball.

I wonder who he's coming in for though, of the three I reckon Son has both been the best performing and yet the most likely to be dropped.

City have supposedly big 60m for Mahrez, Leicester want at least 90m.

😆

Didn't Guardiola just say they didn't have money? The owners probably struck upon new oil somewhere in the middle east.

Poverty Pep? Lol. Is this to replace Sane and Jesus? Must be soooooo nice to be Pep.

Leroy Sane ruled out for 7 weeks. So what do City do? Spend another £70 Mn. There has to be a way to control this.

I hope Mahrez doesn't go there. We play them twice in the next 30 days, once in a Cup final. Mahrez would be stupid, he will not get much playing time there. Let them fucking regret pleading poverty when it came to signing Sanchez.

Pep would feel so dirty if he had to demean himself with a Welbeck or Ox level player practicing his art.

Pep would have been a fantastic politician. He does newspeak as well as anyone. He has somehow managed to portray himself as some sort of jesus figure while spending unseen amounts of petro dollars on his squad.

It's that Barca halo. More than a Man.

Love that Man City are about to pay £65m for Mahrez because they have Sane out for a month or so. That after signing Bernardo from Monaco for £40m in the summer. What is the point in trying to compete with that sort of transfer mentality?

Bernardo Silva was £60m if you include add-ons as well.

Poor Pep can't move for the really big boys though - £100m is out of the question, he says they've told him so. So this is his limit, poor sod is doing all he can with the funds he has.

😆 Yep, two £60 million signings is fine, but spending £100 million on a single player instead is out of the question.

Fucking ridiculous now, City has added Yaya Toure in a bid to tempt Leicester.

Wished we signed Mahrez, world class talent. Was a huge bargain at 40m in the summer, 90m now is OTT.

Who said he was 40m? From what I remember reading they were demanding ridiculous sums even back then. There's a reason why literally no one has taken a punt on him over the last few years.

Lucas Moura to spurs is official

Just another option for them, doesn't bring their overall level up much, if at all.

Apparently Mahrez hasn't turned up to training this morning with Leicester. Dunno what he thinks he can gain from this aside from looking like an unprofessional crybaby. The transfer window is closed, just get on with it until the summer.

They should’ve let him go. I think it’s wrong to hold a player against their will

I always suspected it was you, Arsene!

It's called a contract for a reason Flobs.

Yeah. A contract is security for both parties. Debuchy can sit on the bench and get paid even if the club doesn't want him, while Leicester can keep Mahrez even if he doesn't want to be there. He's a man child, fair play to Leicester for not letting him leave. Nobody forced him to sign the contract.

He's a silly boy. Basically ensuring his next few months are hell while also potentially making him less attractive to sides in the summer.

He has no respect for how his decisions impact other people. I had to drop him from my fantasy team.
