I can't stand Mkhitaryan. I thought he was poor before he went to United where he's been one of the biggest bullshit signings of this decade ever since. They're not allowed to snatch Özil while they dump their poverty players on us in return. That's not how this works.

I didn't want us to sign Welbeck; he's always been a frustratingly dense footballer, however, from a physical standpoint, this version is not at all similar to the player signed 3 years ago. He now can't run, has no acceleration and has awful agility and balance. And he can't stay fit for more than 3 games.

Well by all accounts he identified and tried to sign Mbappe, but couldn't get the job done. I think as a club we're not ruthless enough in the transfer market.

I don’t think even Wenger wanted him, go back and listen to one of his earlier press conferences to see how unenthusiastic he sounds. He was a desperate last min signing.

To be honest, I don’t even think it was that bad a signing to make as a gamble. Nothing to lose, can easily recoup the money. The problem is persisting with him for so long when it clearly hasn’t worked out.

Depends. We do need a pacy and aggressive winger who runs at defenders/fullbacks, but the only problem is we play/build up attacks too slowly.

Wasn't he set to sign Mbappe only for the youngster to decide to stay at Momaco summer 16?

He went to see Mbappe and his family. To be honest, by that point, Mbappe was the hottest young property in Europe. It was 3 years after his trial at Chelsea and every big club was looking at him, His valuation did not suddenly jack up to £100m this past summer. Teams like Real, Barca, PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and others had long been on the case. Give that company, we were always going to lose. In light of that, the visit in summer 16 was in reality little more than a courtesy call

Sometimes I think the nonsensical criticisms of past when Wenger fielded no English players got to him. There's little other explanation how he keeps giving chances to our bullshit British core time and again while dumping promising players like Lucas for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Lucas looked like a poor mans Podolski.and Wenger didn't have that much podi love. Lukas just had no idea now to get into the game. Sutton was the pinnacle of his shitness and just proved we couldn't afford to play him up top.

But I agree he does seem to give the English lads an extra chance. Maybe he feels if the English players make it they're more likely to stay here. While if bellers ever gets to WC status he'll probably be gone like a shot.

He definitely would but if Ramsey or Wilshere were wanted by Barcelona they'd be gone like a shot too.
