That's not even up front, that's just the guaranteed fee without the clauses. Barcelona are notorious for stretching the paying of their transfer fees over a ridiculous period of time. Probably still owe us Fabregas money!

I don't know anything about Pavon really, but he doesn't seem like a Wenger signing. Have we ever signed a first team player directly from South America? I'm even struggling to think of youth prospects other than Wellington Silva.

have been thinking about it a bit. i think we should sell ozil, sanchez, giroud, walcott and anyone else that we can receive decent fees for. build up the biggest war chest possible now. give wenger the axe at the final whistle of our last match of the season, bring in the best manager possible and give him all the monies to rebuild the team.

Am actually looking forward to this summer. Somehow have convinced myself that Wenger will leave. As long as we don’t make a Bould / Moyes type managerial appointment, should be an interesting summer (although the WC will complicate that).

Leaving aside the part where Wenger has always said he honors his contracts, ok.... lol... this summer will not be fun, much like the past 8 or 9 summers

I doubt he'll be losing Lemar to us at any rate. It's more likely that this is about Liverpool putting the Coutinho money to good use.

Sounds about right. If we sign Malcom to replace Sanchez, signing Lemar on top of that would risk reversing the trend of decimating the team
