I've never been less enthused by a transfer window. Just sitting here hoping that Wenger doesn't dump even more scarce resources into a drain like he did last summer. That's the end objective. We know he isn't going to come up with a Lemar or Draxler, so it's not worth following.

Unfortunately, a lot of Arsenal fans sound just like Anfield. Which makes no sense. Take the most predictable team in the top half of the Premier League and sell the one player who can make something happen on his own. For 25m pounds, basically only 5% of your total turnover. You’re basically prepared to give up halfway through the season for that! It’s defeatist!

Even if they sound like Anfield despite the end result being the same in both cases, there is a different motivation behind Arsenal fans wanting Sanchez sold and Anfield's.

I don't agree with selling Sanchez now once we've decided to hold on to him last summer especially as whatever we get for him will be insignificant and either way O don't trust Wemger to invest it wisely anyways. That being said I can understand people's frustrations and why they may want him sold now rather than let him go on a free after a poor season.

I think we should cut our noses off to spite our faces with Sanchez. I don't think keeping him will affect our league position enough for it to really matter in the end.

Same, Qwiss. If we didn't take £60 million in August there's no sense in taking £25 million in January. Let's just stick to the original plan and see where the chips fall.
