On the other hand he has made 716 placed passes, giving him a passing rate of 83%. Not bad for someone who is in the top 3 for most passes.

The problem for me is the nature of his ball losses. Some of his misplaced passes are so easy to do right, I could've made them myself. Him and Ramsey are the worst when it comes to that. Add that Xhaka lately has seemed totally unaware to his surroundings, so he's easily dispossesed fairly often as well, and you have a much worse midfielder than I expected this season.

Xhaka is almost always our player with the most passes, and we pass way more than most teams. When you pass more even if your pass success rate his high you will give the ball away more. Wenger should realise that his system that demands so many of the short under pressure passes that Xhaka struggles with will result in giving away a lot of ball in dangerous areas. Any other manager would play Xhaka in a midfield with at least one player to help bail us out when that happens. Wenger instead playing him with Ramsey and Ozil.

I'm certainly not debating that Wenger is a big part of the problem. It's become his biggest one, actually. Even during the dark ages (2006-2013), his one redeeming quality was that he made the team look better than the sum of its parts, while that is completely gone now.

No you wouldn't, I remember watching you at Malaga couple of years ago and you were actually worse at passing the ball than you were more than a decade ago.

Is there a way to get all of Xhaka, Ozil and Wilshere on the field at the same time. As much as we outclassed Spurs, we are still not playing crisp Wengerball, and we need to get more players who can put together combinations on the field together at the same time. We can help Xhaka by putting more capable players around him who can share the ball-playing and playmaking duties. Even when he plays deeper as he did on Saturday, Ramsey is not that guy. Perhaps a 4 4 2 accommodates both Ramsey and Wilshere and gives Xhaka more ball-playing support

A fit Wilshere would only work as a number 10 as he will never have the attributes to play wide (pace) or deep (defensive cover).

xhaka would we terrible further forward. i hope that doesn't happen
