Let’s see what the market says. £30m+ for him and we should strike. Down payment for that Lyon boy Ndombele. I think we can make top 4, and it would be sad if we didn’t make the type of bold moves Pool made in the past 18 months by signing Ndombele-level talents to help us compete at the very top. In fact, I’d dump Xhaka and El Neny and also bring in Rabiot who I suspect will sit down and be humble after this year.

You're taking the piss but that was a terrific strike. The ball doesn't swerve like that if you just smash it Shearer style with full force you need to hit it lower on your foot to cause that kind of swirl in the ball.

Not practised enough as his ratio of "shots taken" to "shots on target" is terrible.
I hate it when the crowd roars "shoot" as, unfortunately, most of them end up in the stands.
TBF, at least he scores as the other midfielders bar Ramsey are even worse at long range shooting.

So this compariosn is completely unfair, because Xhaka is our deep midfielder and I'm compairing him to the best attacking midfielders in the league. The other thing to note is he is usually not scoring from brilliant combination play he's making a chance out of nothing from way out, so thats worth a lot more.

Would like to see Silva's map. He's probably taking shots in the 6 yard at the end of a tiki taka. Long range shots are turnovers. They look great when they go in, but I much prefer finding a way to work the ball to our AMs and FBs and getting more shots inside the 18 yard area. I'd rather take another 20 seconds and go for that than watch Xhaka take a well practiced mid-air bender
