No idea about the training, the way we play doesn't matter really but I agree on rushing players back and in addition over playing a lad Jacks age. As annoying as this is its not at all surprising.

Here's the big question I've been wondering for the last while though, should we care about over pushing young players? I look at Cesc and for years Wenger pushed him too hard but now its Barca's problem so should we get what we can while we can or do we worry about the long term when it comes to an individuals fitness?

My own theory on the injury situation is that, when it comes right down to it, we have a culture and/or group of players, who cry off as soon as they have the slightest knock.

I'm not saying that's the case with every player and every injury, obviously, but I think malingering is a big problem at Arsenal.

Eh? Bergkamp and Henry were both powerful and direct as well as being technically brilliant.
And as for the Invinsibles, this style is unrecognisable from the type of football we played 7 years ago.

They played a type of football that was unrecognisable from the rest of the league and they paid for it in blood. Players like Campbell, Cole, Gilberto and Vieira missed entire seasons, or the better part of them, in the past. The main difference is that the players we had back then were better than the ones we have today.

It's not so much a case of picking out individuals. I just think the slight muscle strains and little niggles that keep players out at Arsenal wouldn't necessarily keep players out at other clubs. It might be that there's no pressure from upper management on these players, it might be a lack of desire, team spirit or it could stem from the fact that there's not as much competition for places at Arsenal, so missing games isn't such a huge deal. Or it might be that our medical team are less inclined to give out strong painkilling meds.

Anyway, that's how I feel.

Heh heh true, but I don't remember our players missing anything like the amount of games that they miss now, and we didn't have great squad depth either.
The gulf in class and experience now is obviously immense, players like Wilshere and Ramsey are being destroyed by being played too much before their bodies have matured.
