Madrid have won the league several times in the last 10 years. Not like Barça but still.

Liverpool seem.to perform better in Europe than the league. It's unbelievable that a team that has been as average as they have been has averaged a CL final every 4 years in the last 12-13 years. Mind you, they played a Europa league final few years ago too.

Yes Madrid have won league titles, but are you really saying they haven't underachieved in the league for a long time now ?

They have higher ceiling when they do well but a lower bottom than us when they do badly (or used to have a lower bottom).

Because Barça are even better in the league than Real with the best player. Thats why Real normally don't win.

And believe me, Barça will detest this 3 in a row. Real have more than double the CL trophies.

That fact that Madrid have won 3 times on the trot without being as good as say Pep’s Barca makes it all the more impressive. I was reading that big Emery interview earlier where he talks about certain situations becoming normal. Madrid have managed to make big moments and big games normalised. There’s no pressure, there’s no scenario they haven’t come across in the CL. They go out there and do their thing.

This is why I always had them as favourites. Know how and self belief is an extremely underrated aspect of football.

Real have actually had better squads than Barca since Guardiola left. Barca haven't bought well at all, and things don't look right at board level. Messi has been carrying Barca for a long time now, their squad is a mess.

Luck plays a part, I mentioned earlier how the starts seemed to align for Madrid in the CL this season. Barca could have done it years ago but the weather f*cked them up and had to travel all the way to Italy by bus to play Mourinho's Inter. They looked knackered in that match and the damage was too big for them to overturn in the 2nd leg.

Yes. Plus Barça are better anyway in league terms.

But having Messi is a MASSIVE plus.

Having Busquets and Suarez and Alba etc. is a decent supporting cast.
